Bateman was so impressive in "The Gift'", I'll watch in almost any drama, and esp. one with what seems to be a more, uhh down to earth take on money laundering, though it does seem to be borrowing from a few shows at once, in a unique setting, with what looks like beautiful direction and visuals. Agree, the Kanye song doesn't work at all, it's a marketing ploy to find a contemporary audience, but it comes off cheap and pandering.
