Still surreal, his death in sense, for me, took away the innocence of wrestling. Also in a sense, a prelude to what I would see as time went on, with Wrestlers dying in the ring (Misawa) or outside the ring (Benoit/Test/Chyna). Owen's was probably the only one, unless you count Candido's injury, where it was accident gone wrong and exposed me to how the Wrestling world had a dark side to it.

Hayabusa was another big one from the injury side. Hell, not only did it end his career, it (along with the owner being in massive debt to the Yakuza) was basically the nail in the coffin for FMW

That's true... it also in a way, and while Lucha Libre is a big thing... showed how people were doing stupid stunts all for 'Clicks and Clout'. I know slow wrestling is boring but with Owen's piledriver on Austin, he didn't take his time to set up Austin safely.

I always go back to this Rick Rude piledriver, if your going to do it, take your time.
