Overtaining: Low impact Alternatives

Brehs I think I’m getting to point where I need to take a break from gym. Everything is pointing to overtraining; lower output, less energy, fatigue. :flabbynsick:

I’m gonna take a month off to let my body recover but y’all got any good low impact program recommendations. I don’t wanna walk in this hot ass Texas sun and mosquitoes.

Every thing I read up on says 2-4 weeks and in some cases even 3 months.

Basically im doing 5 days a week

Mornings
20 mins jump rope
5-10 laps of sprinting
45-60 mins lifting med heavy reps

Nights
10 mins jump rope
20-30 light to med reps

When was the last time you took a break?

5 days or so about 3 weeks ago but I go hard in the gym. Before that my last break was probably back in September.

5 days a week sprinting is not advisable. Shacarri ain’t doing that…..

Breh a lap for me is one city block I’m not Jesse Owens.

I’m just looking for some low impact recommendations I can do in the interim.

Doesn’t matter the distance.If you are truly sprinting 5 days a week then you are killing your CNS which is why you feel like shyt.

So you can rest for a month and go back to the same thing or craft a better approach…..
