What's up fam, I have over 2,300 beats original beats! I played every single sound, no samples i made in the past 4 years. I know my sound isn't today's trap sound but with all the sounds i use, my keyboard skills, universal sound there's no way i should be broke right?

I'm not talking about leasing beats for $100 i'm talking about i should be working at record label or getting placements. With all the knowledge I have plus i'm a student of the game.

Can anybody in Atlanta help me get in the game?

What city do you think might appreciate my sound?

I been harassing cats on twitter, sending my youtube links, asking artist how can i get my beats to them but nobody ever responds. any tricks or advice? thanks

Detox these are mostly West Coast style beats.

East these are mostly East Coast style beats.

no samples.

I did make a samples mix a few years back (it has the rap songs and the original songs they sampled). If I upload it on youtube they'll shut me down right? where can i upload it to share with the fam?

I'll keep it real. While I did like some of the beats...

1. So many people make beats twitter won't get you anywhere, I've tried, I mean maybe you get lucky and they listen. Even e-mails directly to artist management might not get you heard. If you're in ATL you're one step closer because it's a pretty big hub for hip hop music, I'd hit the street or try and get in contact with an up and coming artist you respect. Or stand in front of the record label, literally.

2. You're sound has to stand out, there are so many talented producers out there gettin NO WORK that if you want to get work your shyt better make someone jump out the seat.

3. No offense, but I would suggest not talking over your entire demo, it really detracts from listening to the beats. You sound like a salesman trying to hustle them while they play, do that when you get a sit down, not in your youtube demo. Also no offense meant at all, but I wouldn't spend the entire demo talking about how much you're feeling every sound that's going on, comes across a little :smugfavre:

Keep at it though breh, I think you may need to humble ya approach a little though and don't expect any industry mothafukkas to do anything for you, or to love your shyt cause you love it.

There are some dope beats in there though, keep up the work ethic, I'd also suggest setting up a soundcloud @ soundcloud.com so we can here the beats individually in their best quality.

:salute:

Also what Wepa Man said, even though I'm guilty of uploading every beat I make, a QC process can be helpful so people only hear your best shyt.

You're in Atlanta....You need to be in them streets. You need to be at events networking. When you're in a city like that, you gotta use every lane you have opportunities to. So just using the net, is short changing yaself.

Go to El Bar (it's underneath El Azteca). A few cats I do music with frequent that spot.

Man flood youtube, but dont put "dr dre type beat" it does put some people off, maybe upload some beat tapes to band camp.

i would suggest going to the clubs and handing over beat cd's personally to someone you want to lace the beat, make sure you catch trinidad james or ti in them skreets big

what happens if you stand in front of a record label?

I redid my youtube snippets. No talking, just some name tags for the most part. Its 100 times more humble i think, lol. Wasn't trying to be cocky but my beats aren't the type of shyt cats are flowing on these days. Only thing they seem to want is trap beats so I was just trying to prop up that other shyt.

Thanks

ok never heard of that spot but i see its on Ponce which isn't far, i'll check into it. I've been too busy to be out and about, but i'll have to start going to events. thanks

because of work and money i don't get to hit the clubs much anymore, even if i did i think the rappers are too busy partying? nobody is going to take a cd and keep at the club right?

Thanks

IDK I live in murda mass so I dont have a label to stand in front of. :sadbron:

The idea is that you can basically directly harass executives A & R s and artists when you physically see them and directly hand them a physical copy.

Might not work but itll show dedication and hustle much more so than email and twitter, and you have a higher chance of the music actually reach THEIR hands.

Good luck tho son, I'm considering movin to a more music centric city to help my career.

@nightsoveratlantabeats im on about clubs people perform at, of course you cant go to a jayz show and expect to give him a beat cd, target up n comers that do shows together, much easier to talk to them
