Drake is the Vanilla Ice of this generation.
He doesn't write his own, he's a horrible singer and his rhymes are nothing mind blowing, just frivolous bullshyt with no substance. Yet in this day age since fans don't give a fukk about that, it doesn't matter so instead of him being viewed the same way we viewed Vanilla Ice, it's the reverse of everything Vanilla Ice went through.
But it's Drake.
Ye gets his own fair amount of disrespect and a lot of that is because he's a diva about every fukking thing and doesn't handle things like a man should but at least 1 time Ye was actually doing something (before he too started getting dozens of ghostwriters), making beats.

Well, there's reasons why for that. A lot of reasons.
Kanye is annoying dikk sometimes.
He's pretentious, says whatever the fukk he want too, throws temper tantrums and bytches and moans whenever shyt doesn't go his way at the drop of a dime.
Hip Hop don't stand for a nikka walking around with his hands on his waist and complaining about every damn thing. Ye is the complete opposite of that and that's why a lot of cats from the older generation have often time shytted on him like in those interviews from up above.
Drake is the opposite of that. He plays it relatively cool for the most part and always just comes off like the pretty boy corny nikka who wants to be cool with everyone.
Meek Mill got the short end of that stick because of the times we in. If this was still the golden era of Hip Hop and Meek would've called him out, it wouldn't put a major dent in Drake's armor. Then too what didn't help Meek was his weak ass diss record. Drake's won't shyt either but Meek should've come WAAAAAY harder than that. It won't prepared at all. Both are too corny ass nikkas if you ask me.
Drake also got so many people backing him. He can't lose with Rap A Lot backing him. The only way Drake will lose is when people get tired of his no singing ass, tv jingles commercial wack ass songs. Eventually people will get tried of him and move on to the next nikka.
I said it before but Drake was a unicorn to this game. A Black jewish actor from Canada who tried to do both singing and rapping who signed the biggest label of the time with the biggest rapper at the time (Wayne) who was managed by Jas Prince. I mean, the stars just aligned perfectly for him. How could he not lose?
People overlook the investments and machines behind stars like Drake and the money poured into their image and brand and the promoting that goes into them.
Like I said, he'll fall off when people get tired of his Al B. Sure wanna non singing ass.
