Madvillainy, out of all the albums in DOOMs discography, get's the most credit and acclaim. I feel it's a little overrated though.

Doomsday on the other hand, has DOOM at his most energetic no doubt. He seems much more full of life, and even as an artist who is naturally reserved, there's a lot of fire in his delivery and his voice.

I prefer the sampling as well and the production more than any of his other albums too.

The only aspect of later albums I prefer is his rapping, which I feel becomes more advanced on the likes of Madvillainy or Vaudeville Villain etc. Still, the rapping is more than good enough on this album.

Plus there is NOT ONE wack track. I challenge anybody to find it.

Where some could get they wigs twisted back within reason
Mostly with these crimes of treason
And they'll be lucky if there's no squeezing even this evening

Where do you DOOM fans rate this within his discography?

I'm not a crazy big fan of some of his abstract rap, so the fact that this album is a take on more traditional hip-hop suits my preferences better.

The Scooby Doo sample :wow:

Who got more snottier flows than snotty nose?
and hold mics like he knows karate body blows?

NOBODY KNOWS!

Top 3 with Madvillainy and Vaudeville Villain 1

yo i thought this album has always been treated as a classic?

i can recall people spending stupid money on lp's and even cd versions of this.

yeah it just doesn't get much internet appreciation, and whenever DOOM is mentioned it's pretty much Madvillainy. I think MM..Food gets more love too.
