I can put together a team of NBA players that weren't selected to the US Team and give them a tougher game then any foriegn team would.

It's not that. It's the fact that you are doing it at the global level. I know since the NBA is the best basketball league in the world it's really not the case but in most other sports it is.

it depends on the sport, for a lot of sports olympics are like the best reward you can get and it's where you face the toughest competition (for sprinters, judokas, gymnastics ect) but for sports like tennis, basketball or soccer, the toughest competion is not on the olympics which prevent this title to be the best you can get. It's different for example in handball where the level on olympics is comparable to the one in euros or world championship, because the teams are the same. Soccer teams often send b list players

actually, I think it's the opposite.

You see the NBA is majority black, so when you win a title, it's most likely, your beating a fellow majority black team. USA winning Gold at the Olympics, proved black excellence. We got the Gold by beating all white teams. I'm with that. I feel alot better defeating a white team than another team full of nikkas. This is why it was kind of bitter sweat when they thrashed Nigeria by 83 points. I wanted them to do the same to Lithuania, Spain, Russia and Argentina. But they still ended up beating the white teams for the Gold to once again prove superiority.

I feel much more proud of our brother defeating white team than black team defeating other black teams in the NBA. I find it much more c00nish.
If it was Heat vs Timberwolves in the finals, guess who I'm rooting for.
