Valuing marriage, family and personal relationships in general

older-black-couple.jpg

I feel like Boomers were the last generation to really take marriage and personal connections seriously.

Yea, Boomers had worse divorce rates than the silent generation but it's still significantly more than Gen X and Millennials.

Dual income is the one of the best ways to go in life, ask anyone who's in a serious marriage.

Also starting businesses and making investments with people you trust help mitigate the risk that are much larger when you go it alone. This applies across all classes.

These days the hustling mentality is much more self-centered than it was in the past which I feel carries more cons than pros. The internet gave us the luxury to create commerce with the click of a button with little to no actual business relationships.

Even something as simple as job searching was much easier in the past because you likely already had the relationships and knowledge necessary to get the job you want or needed.

Yeah, they took 'personal connections' seriously...

Married with side pieces & whole families in different locations

That pre-internet, no national database era was wild :wow:
Yea that kind of wilding definitely laid the groundwork for why folks aint tryna get married now.

I would say the silent generation had those values since because they emerged in between two world wars and shyt was real, an entire generation was forced to be very pragmatic and think of the collective. Boomers were born into relative abundance as the world was repairing itself and pivoted to more individualistic values.

Yea, the silent gen were definitely the least selfish generation of the 20th century.

Are you cirrus? They suck-diddly-ucked at marriage.

And they were the beginning of Corporate Business Clowns that got the top then decided to stop paying pensions
and whatnot. That didn’t help business relations…

Ion thin you got this one, Yo.
