My 2nd rate streaming service is going to be Shudder(or Paramount+ since these seem kind of expensive). Our aim is to bring to life some horror properties that have either been missing or haven't been on screen yet.
Wishmaster the Television Series
We do a Wishmaster series like Columbo/Pokerface. Every episode is a different story with mainly actors from horror movies(In the first movie he kills the actor of Freddy Kruger, Jason, and Candyman). In the episodes we see how these people have weird lives and we have to see how the Djinn kills a person for their wishes and what their wishes are. The Djinn is traveling the country like girlie in Poker Face. We bring back Andrew Divoff as the Djinn in human form. This will be a dramedy but more focused on the comedy.
For anyone that's never watched the movies before he's like a Monkey's Paw monster. His interactions between random people are better than the antagonists in the movies. Here's a funny scene from the 2nd movie. A convict wishes his Lawyer would go fukk himself and the lawyer does just that.
Guyver the Television Series
1 part Buffy, 1 part R Rated Power Rangers, we're making a full practical effect television series that follows the Manga. We age everyone up to college so people would watch for the pretty people like a CW show.
If you never saw the movies which aren't, like the anime or manga, here's a fight scene.
Diablo the Television Series
This is our big budget flagship series. The popular video game franchise unfolds into your home. Its a more horror focused version of Game of Thrones. I think this could work as a series if you focus on the horror and how people live in this demon filled middle ages world.
For tone of the scary scenes here's the cgi trailer for the 4th game that releases this weekend.
Something like this would be the once a season spectacle episode like Hardhome
Looks like Netflix has the rights to do a series after I googled it so I came up with more ideas looking at movies I recently watched or saw before.
Reign of Fire the Television Series
Television series based on the post-apocalyptic movie with Christian Bale and Matthew McConaughey. The first episode is the unearthing of the dragons and the destruction of the world. The rest of the show are the characters later as they fight for humanity to reclaim the world over the dragons. If you need to pad screen time you can do flashbacks like LOST to show how people were before the destruction of the planet. Idk I'm still stuck on a Game of Thrones type show but I think this could be interesting.
Behind the Mask
After the success of the documentary Behind The Mask: The Rise Of Leslie Vernon a television network decides to make a reality show about a horror movie villain archetype. Each season is a different Archetype. The movie was a mockumentary and this will be a mockumentary television series like The Office, or it will be a faux reality tv show. After a few seasons we have a spin-off season called Monsters vs Survivors where previous subjects compete in a Road Rules vs Real World type show for a cash prize. The idea is to keep recycling the villain specific seasons and the competition seasons every so often to keep things fresh.
fukk it I'm bored and having fun thinking this out. This time I'm doing comedies for Hulu from movies I watched recently.
Tugger Speedman: Scorching Hollywood
Following the success of Tropic Thunder, Tugger Speedman is an in demand actor for Hollywood. The series will follow him making a movie each season. Each movie set he goes to turns into a nightmare and sometimes the movie will result in a success or a failure. Each season finale is a premiere for the movie he was working on. This is a less frat bro version of Entourage. You can still do the fake trailers at the beginning of each season when you have new guest stars. Last season he runs for governor of California.
TJ Bros
Following his mild success as a rapper TJ Hicks, Eddie Griffin, is back pimping He-bytches(Gigolos ) in Silicon Valley. This time TJ also ventures into the real real real really armature porn business as he aims to make himself a porn kingpin $1 a month at a time between meals in his jacuzzi. This is supposed to be a goofy comedy like Duece Biggalo. Eddie Griffin was the best part of both movies.
The 'Burbs(TV Show)
There goes the neighborrhood, as a group of friends that live in the same development go on adventures to see who they really live next to. The group of friends act more like children than the kids in their neighborhood. Can they solve a new mystery each season without upsetting their wives? Its basically a live action King of the Hill with some light horror mixed in.
Matter of fact when I was watching the movie I realized a lot of the characters are similar to King of the Hill Characters. If you're a fan of either you should watch the other. They're both funny when you're a kid but are even funnier when you're an adult and understand people better.
The mild mannered man grounded in reality main character
Ray Peterson
Hank Hill
The modest stay at home wife of the main character that has a son
Carol Peterson(RIP Carrie FIsher)
Peggy Hill
The dumb fat friend that is always getting the main character in trouble
Art Weingartner
Bill Doutrive
The looney conspiracy gun nut
Mark Rumsfield
Dale Gribble
The big haired busty blonde married to the gun nut
Bonnie Rumsfield
Nancy Girbble
The horny teenage boy
Ricky Butler
Joesph Gribble
I found this when I googled both so I'm not the only person that thinks this
I was going to say remake LIFE as a tv series but I can't get over the fact of replacing Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence. Those two are bigger than LIFE comedians and you can't replace them on their own let alone together.
