Man they just put this on Netflix. It's one of those movies I heard about but never checked out. Seen they got Samuel L. Jackson in it decided to turn it on and had to cut it off after 30 minutes.

Cinematography is doing too much and makes no sense in relation to the movie

Dialogue is cheesy af especially when he talks to them ese gang bangers

Every scene is tense

All the students look old as fukk.

He was teaching centrifugal force in the opening scene to high school kids :dwillhuh:

Why the hell did this nikka leave a hood school in Brooklyn after being stabbed up just to go to another hood school in Los Angeles? His move isn't even explained.

:dead: at the student writing 187 on every page of the textbook and then later attacking him.

The cheesy romance between Samuel L. Jackson character and the cac teacher :scust:

The writer of this movie pretty much tried his hardest to paint urban school as places of horror.
There seemed to be no context for the students behavior I check and of course it was written by a cac.

Damn. There are some cliches fir sure but at the time I thought it was a nice twist on the white savior coming in to fix the school system. And I liked that it actually had a dark ending. I remember the Russian roulette scene being pretty intense and well acted, and I really loved the music during the epilogue when they one student delivers the speech in the pyrrhic victory.

And I do remember a high school teacher wrote the movie. Not that it really means anything.

I still love this movie, it hasn’t aged well in some parts but I still love the content. The music and the crap teachers have to deal with is something you never hear about.
