I have long said how far New York City football has come.

Erasmus high school was a complete doormat when I was playing but now is the biggest powerhouse in the city. They even go toe to toe with the NJ catholic school teams. I can’t believe how far the city has come with its quality of football. When I came back from OU and was torturing the city leagues, I didnt think this city had much to offer. I was spoiled and felt like I came back to the Stone Age. But the advent of that new field turf years later changed everything. There are football fields all over the city now and you are starting to see the quality of play bubble up. All the Brooklyn pop Warner teams pretty much funnel their players to Erasmus, who has won 4 or 5 city championships over the past seven years.

shyt…even Lincoln (he got game) HS got a kid drafted (my dad’s name).

Im so proud to see this man. So proud.

that’s crazy…was not expecting it to be erasmus
Erasmus has one at least five championships over the past six or seven years bro. They had kids going to Ohio State and elsewhere. Curtis Samuel was just the first guy but I see you how my old Pop Warner team (Skyhawks) and other funneling all their kids to Erasmus.

This shyt is wild because everybody used to step on them. Now they are THE school producing players in the city.

I used to always look for football players in the NFL from New York City when I was younger

When I played HS football I used always think about this

When they lost at St. Joe’s in NJ 14-0 in a defensive game, I said “NY caught up!!”

NYC stays beating Long Island’s ass in their HS bowl games as of late too
