Second, Ryan's plan gives people under age 55 the OPTION of using the voucher when they become Medicare eligible. They can continue to remain on the current Medicare system if they prefer. Ryan is simply trying to introduce choice and competition to Medicare to bring down costs.

Third, the only person whose plan affects senior citizens is Obama, who is reducing future Medicare spending to help fund Obamacare to the tune of $716 billion. Obviously it is in the best interest of elderly voters to support Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.
