NYC was pretty bad in those years.
A lot of people feel that while it's great that the city is a lot cleaner and more civilized, it also lost a lot of it's heart and soul and creativity.
NYC used to be a hotbed for artists, musicians and actors. It doesn't seem to be that way anymore.

yeah NYC has changed a lot and for the better.

The Bronx was no joke. There are still parts in the BX where you could get hurt just for taking the wrong parking spot.the south bronx
