The end of disc 2 from My Downfall to you're nobody was hard. Long Kiss was insane. Too bad we couldn't get more Rza/Big collaborations.

mfers are lying. Nobody knew that shyt haha. For one, we didn't think Biggie was stupid enough to go all out on Pac after he died, 2, we didn't think Rza would want any parts of it(more than likely he wasn't at the session, but we didn't know that), and 3, no one knew he was dissing Nas, Jeru, and Raekwon on Kick in the door until 2002. But, there are a few revisionists that knew everything back then except winning lottery numbers. I honestly didn't know because Puff came out and made a public statement that they would not be addressing rappers on the album and I took their word for it, especially considering 2pac was dead.
This is 1000% facts

The shyt that pisses me off the most is dudes acting like Bangers in LA heard that Cali freestyle and caught the subs :mjlol:

That shyt became a thing way after the album dropped

What’s more bold or a slap in the face was him freestyling said song on sways show out in Cali with all that tension a few weeks before he got killed …. Let’s be real regardless if the beef was manufactured.. real to a certain extent or been overhyped street nikkas etc didn’t see it that way ….biggie and puffy we’re super reckless the way they were prancing around l.a ….said this a number of times had biggie n puffy waited a cool few years before stepping foot in California it would have been way harder for him to have been hit pirus had they own infighting so they wouldn’t be worried about hitting no rapper they were more worried about themselfs ..….. rip but should have been moving way wiser something was bound to happen moving that way

Biggie was actually dead by the time I heard the song, so I never really probably thought about it in the right context. But even that young I knew it was a diss.

This is the only response I respect in this thread. The rest of you nggas are lying. :heh: Straight up

Im on the older end and I was only 12/13 when Big died. So most of yall had to be even younger and if so you were not 9 years old fully digesting this beef and all the bars :beli:

And on top of age, this beef got real weird before and after they died. A lot of coincidence and conjecture and even fake shyt, so in real time we were conditioned to not really take their bars literally

-Who shot ya debate
-All the shyt around Pacs death: the real Machiavelli faked his death. On one song you hear the same # of 6 shots he died with. ‘God bless the dead’ he said RIP Biggie smalls :lupe: (we know what that was NOW but imagine hearing that in real time)
-Big’s album ‘life after death’. ‘You’re nobody til somebody kill’s you’. ‘Going back to Cali’ :mjtf:

So in a young preteen’s mind we didn’t know what to believe And very important to remember we had no clue that Bad boy was just as much with the shyts as Death row. Big was thought to be an innocent. So hearing Long Kiss AFTER Big died was not as cut n dry as people are saying in here

Yep. I was 11. The reason Hit Me Up hit hard is because even toddlers knew "that's why I fukked yo bytch" was a disrespectful ass way to start a song :russ:

Wasn't until later that I realized things like Drop a Gem on Em and LKG were responses to Pac.

Both were dead at the time by the time I heard it. I knew the “we ain’t mad at cha” line was obviously at Pac, but I didn’t know about a lot of the other lines. They sounded like they could have been about Pac or just typical violent lyrics.

I didn’t think too much about the “team in marine blue” line. I always figured Pac was killed by Orlando Anderson as I remember VIBE detailing a lot of the stuff, but I didn’t really know much about Bad Boy’s affiliation with Southside Compton Crips. Some articles or reports talked about their rumored affiliations, but they talked about lots of rumors in general.

Yeah I don’t think it has anything to do with it. Suge probably just wanted revenge and paid for Biggie’s killing. I doubt he heard the freestyle in jail and immediately set up the murder.
