I can't believe I found this. its in an archive, the name of the site used to be electronicbeats or something. I used to go on mp3.com (back when it was a free source of music) and chop up mp3s, kinda like what clams casino did/does. back then you could look for acid jazz, classical, pretty much any genre,undiscovered artists and bands would put their work AND have 320s up for free download (early days of the internet), I would download, chop in recycle 1.0 and sound forge () and load it into reason 2.0.
a lot of you guys like this style, so I thought I would share. Ive since moved onto creating my own style rather than fitting in a box, but its good to hear a young knocks making boom bap and sample beats.
that beat "Oh Yea" sounds so lush and full. how the hell did I get the mixdown to sound like that. I didn't even know what I was doing and went with all ears. This shyt was before I even knew what vsts were. LOL.
