when black people in these under-developed countries will stop idolizing people like royalties of england. im seeing images of williams and his girl kate in africa and all i can do is to just (yes, i refuse to call em prince or none of that nonsense).

sh1t is embarrassing. if i were to have oprah money, i would seriously (and i'm dead serious about this) build up schools in several parts of africa. and the main goal of those schools will be to raise the pride of these african people. so they can stop looking at these nonblacks with such high esteem.

this isn't a racist thread. but it really irritates me when damn near any white/non black person can go to africa and they will be worshipped. but u let these africans step foot in places like russia or several other places in the europe, they'll be instantly assaulted.

Although I understand your point and even agree with you to an extent, the celebrity worship culture is not only prevalent in Africa. Here in America blacks (and almost everyone else) praise people who would want NOTHING to do with them on any given day. In a perfect world, I would want us to strive for excellence and regenerate an image of ourselves that would make us proud to be who we are.

you make a good point wit the bolded but there is one thing you have to remember, the "man" is only gonna let you do but so much in Africa with HIS money, and the rich know it. You let Oprah, Warren Buffit, or any cat like that seriously start contributing and investing in Africa and they'll be indicted for tax evasion or some shyt like that within the year. The west has a strategic hold on Africa for a reason, and as we've seen wit cats like Gaddafi, they have no problem throwing anyone who interferes (and their sons) in the bushes. They're not worried about people building schools because they know they still pretty much have control over the text books and what's taught in the school. They don't care about missionaries feeding the children because that shows the world the humane side of America (). But you let some rich American start talkin about investing in Africa to free them from the grips of the central banks, the oil industry, or any other industry where the west has made Africa it's bytch, and watch them send the goons at em
