Erica Wheeler is a vet, she's earned playing time and the trust from her coach to have the ball in her hands.

Caitlin has to prove herself to Coach Sides in order to get more PT and the greenlight to run things through her. It has to be earned, and what she did in college is great but this is the pros and the style that Catlin is playing is too reminiscent of her Iowa career...she's basically still playing as if this is NCAA basketball. She's gonna have to make adjustments and improvements of her game and IQ to win the coach over in order to be given the “keys”.
wheeler might have proved herself to the coach but that team is trash and she has literally no vision as a pg. She plays like a combo guard so I dont see how this says anything to say wheeler has earned it. If the team is a bottom feeder team like the pistons you might as well just play your rookies because whatever you got isnt working.

Breh… you don’t get it :snoop:

There’s nothing physically imposing about Clark. She hasn’t shown the ability to take players off the dribble and break down defenses. She doesn’t have a mid range game. She can shoot the three, but she hasn’t shown the ability to consistently create space at will. The passes she made at Iowa got stolen versus pros. And her IQ is lacking because she doesn’t know how to recognize double teams and traps to get the ball out of her hands. She plays at 55 mph while everyone else is playing at 65 - 70 mph. She also take way to long to make decisions.

So why would the coaches and players trust her to do anything with the rock. She’s not even a leader yet.
she has broken down some defenders even in these last 2 regular season games. Her handle is good enough to be the main ball handler but literally noone on that team is being defended like she is right now.

And there in lies the problem. You don’t want Clark to earn anything. You want it to be handed to her. This is the white privilege everyone talks about. Instead of her dominating in practice and taking shyt, you want it to be handed to her. How is she going to get better?

The last game she was the primary ball handler and had 10 turnovers.

Where is the video of her motivating her teammates on the sidelines and being vocal. The first game you got Aaliyah Boston giving her pep talks instead of it being the other way around. Which brings her leadership into serious question. She just came from a winning program and it seems like the type of player that if she doesn’t get her way she will just bytch and complain before she takes her ball and go home.
You want a rookie to assume leadership that early into the season? From a standpoint of earning it if they are going to be a terrible team all this season might as well give caitlin the keys to keep numbers up and to see what you got. The veterans they have give nothing and that team makes the wnba product look horrible. There is literally no player on that team right now you can say lets her cook because they all appear to struggle. And most of them are struggling while not dealing with the same amount of pressure on them whether through the media or even defensively. If I just get to a team and im getting the tough assignment literally every game I would be mad too if I dont get touches when i manage to get open. They even realize they havent really been helping when the double teams come.

Her fans are crazy.

Look at any postgame video and look at the comments.

It's everybody else's fault, and the women of the league, even her teammates are jealous of her.......

Caitlin going 2/8 on field goals and they are jealous?

Nah, the WNBA isn't made better like this.

They can be her fans, they just need to be honest with themselves. There's a lot of good players in that league.

But if she’s not skilled enough to physically able to beat players one on one then what?

Every time she touches the ball, she either can’t shake the player guarding her most of the time or she gets trapped.

Basically if you give her the ball she’s going to end up taking a bad shot or giving it up anyway.
If she's not good enough to play her game at the pro level she will have to adjust obviously...part of it is she is feeling the pressure so her shot isn't falling...the ladies at the next level are more skilled so she has to adjust but she has to find out if her style translates,...the 10 TO's vs the best defense in the WNBA isn't the reason she should be out there just getting cardio while her teammates cook...that's not what people are filling up arenas to come watch

yeah, because when people play defense on her, they are "hating". It's like opponents are supposed to let her score to cater to their crakkker feelings.

So because THAT team is bad the WNBA looks horrible, but if any other team is bad, that's perfectly ok? haha. Every league has good and bad teams. We(spurs) were bad the last 5 years in the league. Does the NBA look bad that we sucked?
