You missed her point. Chicago only had three returning PLAYERS. Marina Mabrey is the only starter from last year who’s starting this season. Elizabeth Williams was a starter last year, and started the beginning of this season, but I believe she’s out for the season (Cardoso is replacing her and would’ve likely replaced her eventually). Dana Evans came off the bench last year then started this year until she went back to the bench the last three games. They have basically a newly assembled team (with two rookie starters) that’s still developing chemistry

Compare that to Indy who has three starters returning, two of which were all stars (Boston and Mitchell), Boston was a #1 overall pick and ROY and Mitchell and Smith were #2 overall picks in their drafts. Then they add another #1 overall pick in Clark. Their situations are not similar.

Boston came into the season out of shape.
Mitchell started the season injured.
Let's not forget about the brutal schedule at the start of the season.

Only one team played 11 gms in 20 days
Only one team played 3 gms in 4 days twice
The opening 11 gm schedule put Indy at a disadvantage

The transition wasn't as smooth as Lachina is making it out to be

And despite all of that...Indy is 7-11 after 18 gms...Last season they were 5-13....+2 in the win column.

Another made up bullshyt lie to prop up Caitlin Clark, by delusional ass people such as yourself.

She spent most of her offseason working out

Being stronger does not mean better conditioned....We all saw Boston struggling to run the floor earlier during the season.

Again...stronger does not equal better stamina.

Wrong again. She was playing basketball in the offseason.

She wasn’t “running” the floor because they never practiced it. If your point guard is consistently throwing passes that you’re not ready for or can’t handle, then you obviously wasn’t practicing it.

* The streak started after they got rest/practice and the schedule got easier

*, Of Course, Boston elevating her game was probably the biggest key. I'm not taking anything away from her, Boston has been great and I hope she keeps it up

* That being said....Clark has played much better after the brutal schedule...In fact....The entire team has played better....Rest/Practice was a huge factor.

Clark's last 7 gms:

17.1p/6.0r/7.0a/47%/44%/87%..........That's damn good....Still needs to cut down on the turnovers.

Indy's next stretch of games heading onto the Olympic break will be a challenge.

Seattle
Phoenix
Vegas
New York
Washington
Phoenix
Minnesota
Dallas

3-5 would be nice

Clark struggles when she's defended by players more athletic than her, like against DiJonai Carrington

Only games I can see them winning, with Phoenix being 50/50.

we lose to top teams. If we can't beat the fever, there need to be some trades/cuts immediately. Especially considering they've gotten worse this season and they couldn't beat us last season with the games Griner played. We were 2-2 against them last season and only lost when Griner was out. Now we've added Copper. There is no way they Fever should beat us.
