Trump is Duke and Duke from Trading Places. Will you pull your skirt down and stop cackling like a crazed old woman?

Trump is now a pariah. He’s an outcast from regular society after this shyt he pulled. Nobody will do business with him and he’s probably going to face charges in NY. He will now suffer the ultimate distinction of being a total and complete loser :laff:
Any yet Pence won't remove him from office. Any yet nobody in the republican party will openly back his impeachment.

I think you should go back and listen to the republicans talk about Trump before he became the nominee. They straight up tore into the guy.

He's gone back to who he was before he took the republican nomination. In all honesty once he left office it was always gonna end that way. Once some distance was put between him and the presidency they were gonna turn on him and ostracize him like they did George W. Bush. The only reason the republicans backed him was because they thought they could both use him and control him. The events last week just gave some of them the cover they needed to back away from him like they wanted to do anyway.

Toomey, Romney(I think), and Murkowski already on record. McConnell really isn't far behind....

Breh... if Trump isn't held accountable then he goes on for four years spouting nonsense, likely getting people killed and then will run in '24 if he's not brought up on state charges by NY.

Impeachment would see to it that he never holds public office again.
Understand that even if you impeach Trump you're still not going to get enough republican votes to convict him. They literally can't start the trial until the senate reconvenes on the 19th unless all 100 senators voting to do so. You won't get that either. It's also going to be really difficult to get the American public on the side of convicting someone in the rear view mirror of the country because he's no longer in office. It's just going to look really petty.

It's over. He's leaving office in 9 days. They can't remove him from office before then because the support isn't going to be there. They need to just let that go. Republicans might be over Trump now but they'll still do enough to protect him from all this so him being held accountable is out of reach.

That's the point. You want them on record. If they choose to convict, great. If they choose not to they can never live it down. It will be one of the most important things they ever vote on.
