I've seen improvement when i started including more lunges , leg extensions and goblet squats.

Skip the lunges. It requires a lot of effort just to maintance balance during a lunge. The amount of weight resistance you can do is low, mainly because you do not want to injure yourself. Total waste of time if you are trying to bulk up.
Focus on squats, deadlifts and leg press. I do perform lunges, but I do them as a stretching routine with no weights.
