word is he is involved with TKO (company that owns UFC, WWE) on creating a boxing league.

wouldn't shock me if ESPN gets in on that during the UFC rights renewal.

i imagine Top Rank will go to DAZN?

Looks like you were right on the bolded. Now let's see if the ESPN part comes true.

Promoters falling over themselves to give Turki whatever he wants is going to look crazy in hindsight if/when he starts poaching talent.

Saudi/SURJ Sports Investment. Became a minority partner in DAZN last month. As Saudi's have a working partnership/relationship with Matchroom beyond boxing. I'm talking Darts Snooker 9 ball Pool. + LIV Golf and the Saudi football league are on DAZN.

ESPN’s acquisition of NFL Media could be for as much as $2 billion and possibly see the league take an ownership stake in the network.

By acquiring NFL Media, the network would acquire two premium assets in NFL RedZone and eight NFL Network game broadcasts.

Add in digital assets like the league’s fantasy products and shows like Good Morning Football and The Insiders, and ESPN would get an actual injection of existing content that would attract fans.

The acquisition could also help ESPN keep the rights to the NFL Draft. NFL Network currently airs its own draft broadcast opposite the ESPN and ABC broadcasts each April

But sources say Fox now wants back in. Tom Brady is the face of the network’s NFL coverage, with nine years and over $330 million remaining on his contract. If he were to take part in draft coverage as Troy Aikman and Joel Klatt did with the NFL Network/Fox coverage seven years ago, that would add to the network’s appeal.

Google has been in business with the NFL since 2015. In late 2022, the league announced a $2 billion per year deal to distribute Sunday Ticket across YouTube TV. During Super Bowl week, YouTube also generated six million live views for the league’s flag football game.

Another factor complicating matters: Disney has restarted long-dormant negotiations to buy the league’s media properties, including NFL Network and NFL RedZone, for around $2 billion. One reason why those talks—which had been tabled for many months—are back on is so ESPN has a backup method to maintain its draft rights, sources say. NFLN’s eight live games would also sweeten ESPN’s game inventory beyond Monday Night Football.
