So a while back I told @head shots101 I'd show him how I made one of my beats, cause he had some questions bout how I did shyt.
He asked if I could make a video about Larry Hoofer. Which samples The Hoofer by Spooky Tooth. Fairly blatant loop, not the most complicated chop by any means, but I figured I'd throw something together quick for my dawwg.
Here's the beat.

Here's a quick video showing the different parts to the beat, the sample etc. Watch in 720 if you wanna see what I'm clicking.
A few things. You'll notice I don't quantize the live hi hats. I make a blank sine wave sound more like a real bass with a simple amp design. I roll off top end on the sample loop for the verses so the strings can stand out. Notice too that most of my sounds come from Logic Pro itself. I also just mess with the sample near the end before letting the beat play through at about 10:00 in. If you wanna see how I sometimes find my sample chops
I'll do this for any one of my beats and anyone else with the capability do it for yours too. I've got some other beats with some intricate chops and use of vocals etc. If you wanna know how I did it holla!
Also let me know if you have questions about what was going on.
