Stop lyin' nicca.
I think the nursing angle may help you get in with a hospital. It is healthcare related. Also depending on what you want to do, it sounds like you have tons of "administration" experience, just not in healthcare. Try to put a resume together that highlights general skills but not industry specific stuff. Still put you're going to school for HA, but don't pay for anymore classes just yet. See if you can get close to a job first.
Start looking at job openings for health insurance companies or visit the adminisration office of some hospitals if you have a day off or something. Chop it up with some people to get an idea of what their job is. There is a lot you can do in the Healthcare field and I don't think the transition form what you're doing now to what you want to do will be that rough, you just have to find something.
Thanks and yeah I dont think it will be a hard transition either. I know medical terminology from my nursing courses and I'm going to take some additional bill and coding classes in the near future. I'm just frustrated because I want out of here but quitting is out of the question (my husbands suggestion). I worked at this clinic in Arizona as a nurse and I was legit miserable the whole time. I dont know what I was thinking with that. I'm a office person if that makes sense, I dont like like to touch or talk to other people for an extended period of time. The closet I got was being intake personal in a emergency room (like the person who registers you when you go in to see the doctor) but it was over night at didnt work out. I'm definitely going to keep looking and continue to apply. I've become complacent and now that I've realized that I need to do something about it.
