Thanks ladybug. The color is from henna. That was another debacle. Protein overload, but I wanna do it again :lupe:

Why cant I wake up tomorrow in shape? Shin splints from running might be my cause of death.

:lupe:How often were you henna'ing?

I henna'd once back in January so that my indigo treatment would take. The indigo has pretty much faded all the way out so I'm thinking about doing another treatment. I'm hoping me only henna'ing once or twice a year will keep it from loosening up my curls and wrecking my situation. We'll see.

At the beginning of mean streets
I heat/keratin damaged my hair. Its ruined. My twistouts suck. So Im just gonna sit back and hate on all of y'all for the next 6 years until my hair grows back.

Girl keratin treatments are the devil's work. :huhldup:My roommate has been nursing her hair back to health for about a year, but the damage was so severe the ends of her hair grow completely straight. Try some protective styles and natural oils.

My old boss said that when my Mom died :wtf::wtf::wtf:

:pacspit: dikk.
LOL no, it was a lady at work. I just don't understand why someone would reply all with that when the email is going out to 8 other people.

Sorry to hear about your mom :-(

Ahhhhhh... I've seen some pretty good 'reply all' fails when I worked for bigger companies. People talking shyt and hitting reply all. Classic.

Thank you

I used to do it every 6 months. The color was amazing. But it did loosen my curl some AND my hair was in protien overload. However I will say I left the henna on over night. :manny:

Ok. Im smarter than the average person. I get it. HOWEVER when I tell people I need help with something I get hit the the most annoying shyt. "Oh you'll be fine." "Well you always get A's." "Youre always nervous about school but you always do well." If Im so damn smart, dont you think I'd know when to ask for help?! I need help so bad but everyone keeps giving me the :comeon: look. Im NOT a fukking genius. Its making me want to cry. I went to speak to my advisor and she basically said the same dumb shyt. "Well you used to tutor XYZ class, I dont see why you need the help.":demonic:I cant afford the tutor I want. Im so fukked.

-I think I'm going to go skating tonight. I know the music is going to be wack but I haven't been and skating with adults is way more safe than skating with children. One of them lil fukkers tried to take me out (this life, not to dinner) last Saturday.

-You really can tell the difference between cage free eggs and regular ones. My taste buds don't want me to go back but my budget has other ideas. Them shyts can be pretty pricey.

I'm so into my comfort zone with my career but I really want to get into Healthcare Administration. I started going to school for it and then just completely lost focus and picked up my hours at my job. I so frustrated. need and want something new. I need motivation or something.

What field are you in now?

See if you can find a job in the field first. Healthcare jobs typically require some previous work experience and while education is helpful, it's not not trumping experience in a lot of cases. You could always put on your resume that you're going to school and add the estimated graduation date. The job may be totally entry level but once you're in the door, you're golden.

Completely c/s this. Getting your foot in the door is half the battle, and many times, companies are more likely to promote from within. I have a strong insurance and dental field background, and it was all from working my way up.

Account Management. I have been doing that for over 8 years with little to no progress. I progressed slightly when I was living in AZ. I moved to NY for a short time and did it there with a temp agency and then have been here in Chicago with a company for almost 5 years. My pay is pretty stagnant even though we bonus (about $500-750 a month) but the company where I am currently employed has no room for growth. I've tried applying for different jobs where my responsibilities would different but I really haven't gotten any interviews for those. I have an associates in nursing but I dont want to be a nurse. I just went to school for it because I thought it would be my golden ticket because all of those job outlook sites had it on pace to have the fastest career growth not because it was something I enjoyed or wanted ever to do.

I think the nursing angle may help you get in with a hospital. It is healthcare related. Also depending on what you want to do, it sounds like you have tons of "administration" experience, just not in healthcare. Try to put a resume together that highlights general skills but not industry specific stuff. Still put you're going to school for HA, but don't pay for anymore classes just yet. See if you can get close to a job first.

Start looking at job openings for health insurance companies or visit the adminisration office of some hospitals if you have a day off or something. Chop it up with some people to get an idea of what their job is. There is a lot you can do in the Healthcare field and I don't think the transition form what you're doing now to what you want to do will be that rough, you just have to find something.
