i'm confused..this is the random movie thought thread..but you seem to be posting random movie scenes and mentioned posting random shyt.

is this just a way to get @MichaelStrathanGap to stop making a thread over every pointless tidbit he sees?

They don't, since that's not the editor's job, it's the sound department's job. Anyway, what they do is that they only record the dialog (hence why in tv/movie productions you always see them holding a boom mic over the actors' heads to limit and cancel out background noise) and every other sound (cars, footsteps, etc.) is added in post production.

I never knew the boom mic had other functions besides just recording the actors. Good info thank you.

Yeah but his question and now mine is simple: are these thoughts or clips? A random movie thought is: There are a few scenes in Raiders of the Lost Ark that can make for a good mini movie and side adventure.

Posting a clip isn't a thought, it's a clip and a scene. That's why he asked and that's why I'm asking. I don't think he was coming at you sideways and I know I'm not either, it's just a question breh. Inquiring minds want to know
