This conversation is dumb because if it was Marvel 2 we would be watching the same matches and teams we been watching for the past 20 years. You right there are teams and characters in Marvel 3 that show up more often than not, but at least there will be character variety throughout the top 8 like what was mentioned before Marvel 3 had been at least 5-6 evos and not one exact team won it there have been multiple characters from multiple level of tiers that have shown up I mean a wolverine/storm/akuma team won evo yea it was Justin that did it but the fact that he was able to do it with that team says enough. You ain't gonna have a team filled with characters in the lower tiers winning evo in Marvel 2.

It's Justin Wong, breh. I personally witnessed him get a 60ish win streak with Guile, Charlie, Cammy at ECC. The same one where he had to run through RowTron and the whole Seattle crew that were smoking shyt to win from losers. The 1st time he went to losers in a year or some shyt. Prime Justin is like 1st 3peat Jordan. He's special. HIM doing that early in the game does not really support your argument. 2 had character specialists and peple who won with abnormal teams, too. Look up VDO. Dhalsim sees play now, and is considered top tier by some. Iron Man is top tier. Like I said earlier, Spiral is the real best character. 2 has evolved but since there was no PC release to pirate make the game super accesible online and mod, 3 is getting the attention. Do the same thing and 2 comes back the same way.

Thank you. the whole convo is stupid. If you don't have a Storm, Magneto, or Sent on your team you are most likely not doing a goddamn thing in mvc2.

sure there are some rogue chars like IM or Spiral. And IM is only viable because he can 300% your team off touch Just like Zero

For as busted as it is, its a game that aged incredibly, incredibly well. Even better than MVC2. Something that not many games can say (even the top tier ones)

This is actually facts. I've seen some streamers/youtubers of the fighting game community put it above MvC2 recently, the mod game really changed things up.

Now we just need rollback netcode, which apparently some people are working on.

I actually think MVC3 has MORE busted shyt in it than MVC2. MVC2 just has a really good meta of its god tiers (its really hard to explain how, but it just works). But nothing in MVC3 is dumber than that guard break in 2. Whats all this bout rollback though? id love to help out with that

Aight perfect, I do C++ back end for UE4 and my guy is familiar with Quake 3 rollback (which is the same code used in a lot of fighters apparently) so I'll def give him some messages

VDO has Top 16d IIRC.

I have no placements. I didn't want to travel to pay with NYers to get that good. I was the best in Baltimore (probably MD) until people like Isaac Graham, Pete Luong, and Skisonic started going to NY an PA all the time. In '99, there was no spoonfed internet info or online play to keep everyone level. I am good though. I didn't want it that bad

IM's 300% can be escaped or turned into a 50/50 by some characters. You also have to execute it a certain way and at certain points or the game escapes them for you.

There is no difference they both kill in one touch. SEE ABOVE

So no lower tiers in top 8 Don't care enough to look it up. I know for a fact he and one or two others have Top8ed regionals, but who cares?

At that time, I was doing music on and off, and playing tournament level Magic The Gathering. I couldn't focus on one enough to be the best. I was good at all of them though.
