You have to be on point with the gun, that's why people dismissed it. 15 rounds in a clip means you can't miss and your margin of error is slim.
I don't even really use anything else as my primary when I'm in the Crucible. Only time I switch is if I have a Bounty going for kills with another class of weapon. I have other clips that show why the gun can do work. I'm not surprised that they haven't raised the clip amount... if they gave it like 18 bullets it would go from the least used Exotic to one of the most OP guns in the game.
I don't even remember being killed by this gun more than a few times either. So I know people be like
when they see me outgun them and their Suros Regime with that bad boy

Do you have an exotic helm and the Raid Chest Piece? If so, equip that and you can get to 30.
I have an Exotic helm, and 3 pieces of Raid gear and am at LvL 30.
