McDivitt is so good he dissected the case had charges dropped and did his homework on everything and everyone.

The feds really fukked up by not having this case in PA or CT they had it on Long Island in the WWF backyard

Warlord was right most these guys where using well before working for Vince and had established steroid guys that's why you can never blame Vince for steroids.

Hogan didn't snitch but Vince didn't see it that way but yeah going on Arsenio didn't do both of them any favors.

Vince did work the jury with having the neck surgery right before the trail started :mjlol:

Why did he wear a neck brace tho??
He had a car/motorcycle accident shortly before the trial iirc. But most of the speculation around it has always been that he wore it to try and get some sort of sympathy during the trials too

Nothing too crazy that wasn’t already known in this episode I wish they would’ve spent more time talked about how WWF was preparing for Vince to go to jail. They could’ve brought up how Vince brought in either Jerry Jarrett or Bill Watts to run the company in case they lost the trial. I believe ratings took a huge dip too. Wasn’t the Macho Man leaving part of this as well?

I wouldn’t be shocked if McDivitt or however you spell his name made a condition of his participating being that it has to be pro-WWE.

Was listening a couple of years ago on the Lapsed Fan do a deep dive on the Steroid Trial and go through the transcripts re-enacting them (Which they put again for this and the Zahorian trial in anticipation for the Vice Episode) and this ep pretty confirmed all the things here, but I thought they went into more detail than here

The big thing with this case was:

McDevitt is literally that lawyer that wil eat the case, when you read the transcripts that guy is like a fukking surgeon
Shaun O'Shea the prosecutor fukked up royally, I think he had a chance to get Vince on the stand and didnt
They really thought Hogan and Warrior would help them out
Also I can remember if it was mentioned but on the podcast they noted that Warlord after his testimony was outside the courtroom by the door trying hear everything:mjlol:

Also Nailz is a dumbass for not know what contempt meant:lolbron:

McDevitt won the case without calling a single witness and letting the prosecution neck themselves :wow: Now that's a lawyer.
Dude must have went to see Mephisto before trying that case cause he even said it himself, you dont get acquittals on a fed case. They dont have to play fair.

You gotta listen to the lapsed fan coverage of the trial if you haven't. It's great for all those details about watts and shyt.

What would the anti-wwe angle have been here?

This series started out fire

but it’s been mid for a minute

They stretched themselves too thin with "Dark Side of Football" & "Dark Side of the '90s"

Like I said, the wrasslin business is the ones business you should never run out of scumbag tales about.

I mean, you could probably do a whole season on the dead wrestlers of Wrestlemania 6.
