I like the signings that have been made so far. You're going to pay more than you want when it's free-agency, but the defense should definitely be improved if they remain healthy.

I don't watch as much college football as others, but I'd say with the signings they've made so far, I'd like to see them draft Abdul-Carter or go heavy offense in the first few rounds to get Maye some weapons.

$120m in space :ehh:

Not sure what to expect this year. I'd say seven wins would be a positive as long as the team looks disciplined and like they have a pulse. I could definitely see more than seven wins if they stay healthy. The defense has a chance to be very good.

Have to surround Maye with some weapons though. Easier said than done, but need to get him some real weapons.

I like the defensive focus in FA. 6 of the games we lost were 1 score games where we needed to make a stop.

I like how they've opened up free agency. Addressed the needs. I'm feeling positive for good progression next season. Still need some solid weapons for Maye

Agreed on both counts.

The Bills are still the best team in the division, but I can see the Patriots finishing second, third, or fourth in the division.

-The Jets look like they've taken a step back on paper. No Rodgers and no Adams.

-The Dolphins are that team that can beat any team on any given Sunday, but are too inconsistent and Tua's injury history is a concern as well. One hit and he can be out for the year. We will also see if they start off slow and if Hill/Waddle start to complain.

Offensive penalties really hurt the Patriots last year, and they had some chances in these one score games. I think they made some very good additions (on paper) to the defense. I'm really hoping Davis can be an excellent #2 CB. I think Maye looked very good last year considering what he was working with. Did he make some poor decisions at times? Yes. Were there times where I wish he just went down instead of trying to pick up a few extra yards? Yes. With that said, you can absolutely see the arm talent on him. I don't want to keep brining up Mac Jones, but we NEVER saw that kind of arm with Mac, as he didn't have it. Same with the mobility.

What’s the play here? Start the year with that as your core? Make a trade for Higgins AND pay him? Go WR heavy in the draft?

You have to get Maye weapons. You don’t want to stunt his growth with not giving him help.

Fine tune the OL and then go after receivers. Who knows, after some of these early signings they may look to draft Travis Hunter as a WR rather than select a DT or OT

Hunter has to be the play. If Carter drops to us then you can't pass on him, otherwise it's Hunter or trade down. None of the OLs are worth a top 5 pick. Maybe Tetairoa but I'm skeptical if that dude can get off press coverage. I'd rather Hunter be picked to play WR. He's quick enough to separate and get open against press coverage.

I just don’t know about Hunter. If I’m wrong, I’ll freely admit it, but you aren’t going to be elite on both sides of the ball in the NFL. He may get some snaps on both sides, but he’ll likely need to stick to mainly one position. Is he really ELITE at either WR or CB?

From what I’ve read, it seems like if Abdul-Carter is there, he’d be the best option, but I won’t sit here and act like I’m some draft guru.

I’m not opposed to them drafting a WR, but does Tetairoa scream N’Keal 2.0 or is that unfair to him?
