I still don't get why they getting counted out. They loss by 6 points against a mvp candidate qb . They went blow for blow. After hearing that speech on the radio, I was very confident they were winning this game.
That game wasn't as close as the final score. And the defense looked like they couldn't stop a fukking thing and that's the kind of teams that they'd be expected to face in the late rds of the playoffs. Plus the general public just not gonna ignore the amount of injuries the defense is pulling up. I get it but that don't mean I'm buying it. I think the sun of this team is greater than the parts and non fans just don't understand the mental makeup of this team and how "GRIT" isn't just a saying on merchandise.I still don't get why they getting counted out. Thats i felt since Hutch went down. Our offense is scorching and the winning path is not gone be as easy but we're still capable. It'd be stupid to count this team out, but with their injuries as is, Buffalo/Philly/KC being favored over them might make sense. They still have a real Superbowl shot though. Going into the playoffs last year nobody was picking them over San Fran and they almost did it. If the offense is hot on a given day and starts hot, they could beat anybody.
You already know I completely agree, just painting the picture from a national, non lion fan pov. National media has very short memories and only brings up past info when it supports the narratives they wanna push. Worse defense last year and they had a tight game in the NFCC that they should have won, but all they talk about from that game is the failed 4th downs cause that supports the Dan's decisions cost them in big game narrative. But not the outside doubting the Lions is familiar territory for us. All that national love was starting to feel weirdIt'd be stupid to count this team out, but with their injuries as is, Buffalo/Philly/KC being favored over them might make sense. They're gonna be good next year if they get a real coach. Caleb scares me going forward and I've never felt that way about a Bears QB.I really thought bears would be decent this year. Surprisingly Panthers look like a better team despite getting killed in that trade for Young
