If they lose to the Raiders next weekend that might do the trick. If they win, they're gonna keep trying to make the playoffs and won't trade anyone.

I wonder if the Browns winning today changes their plans on selling. Jameis looked really good....maybe they decided to keep Za'Darius Smith instead of trading. If that's the case there's still a few players elsewhere, including Arden Key who clowned us today. BTW Harold Landry played and didn't do jack shyt.

I think that the need is glaring but I also think that us burying teams in the manner that we are doing is working to our detriment here. We lost the league sack leader. What have we done since then? Went on the road, took the zero of an undefeated division rival in their home after being down ten and just piledrived the Titans at Ford Field. We are going to get raked over the coals now because the other 31gms know what the best team in the league needs. Two first rounders could stretch into demands for three. We need something but we can't mortgage the house on it.

I disagree but my theory basically gets to the same conclusion as yours. Multiple teams need pass rushers which means there will be heavy bidding. Za’Darius Smith would normally go for a 4th or 5th rounder. But with so many contenders in the mix it’s gonna cost more I bet. So we’ll be raked over the coals to keep someone like Smith away from the Niners or Falcons.
