I think Finding Dory & Star Wars got the best chances of beating CW.
I do wonder if Dr Strange will sneak up like GOTG

Suicide squad had a better chance of being this year's GOTG.

Also independence day resurgence could be this years jurassic world. I doubt it though

Seems more like inception which was a dope ass movie
Where I could see more kids seeing suicide squad seems more kid friendly cuz it's not hard to understand like strange will imo for kids

Independence Day resurgence will be a sleeper hit I think like it will make more than what people think if it's any way good

I think dory will make a killing in China cuz they love kid friendly movies over there
It's biggest was a kid movie for its own country if I'm correct but their own version

Let's just say if something WERE to topple Civil War, I'd be highly surprised, like a Jurassic World situation.

I don't forsee any of the movies in the OP beating it.

Dory has a bigger fanbase I think it's the most selling DVD all time I know but toy story 3 is more recent but a lot of parents I know who have kids be like when I was younger I watched this and show movies like nemo and lion king

nah finding dory won't hit like the toy story sequels imo.

the original toy story lent itself way more to the idea of a sequel. they had a lovable cast of characters and all they needed to do was bring them back for a different adventure.

finding nemo was a story with an end. this sequel feels less natural. feels like more of a spinoff, and i'm not sure how well a dory spinoff movie is gonna perform.

but hey, i could be wrong. bump this when the movie breaks a bil.

This years box office starting to look kind of funny in the light

So far movies in May have grossed $873 mill which is the lowest amount in 15 years

It's the first time the month of May hasn't grossed a billion since 2010

X-Men Apocalypse (super hero flick), Through The Looking Glass (family friendly sequel), Angry Birds (animated flick), Neighbors 2 (raunchy comedy sequel), The Nice Guys (action comedy) none of them really made what a movie in it's genre should have in the summer.

Well wasn't expecting dory to go up this high at $140 mil + at this moment

Id2 won't be massive I think cuz one thing against it was its massive break where Jurassic at least had 2 more sequels then a break then Jurassic world came

The way I see it. It's mostly comic book fans looking forward to SS though. And ID 2 not having sequels may not hurt it as bad because most people didn't seem to enjoy JP 2 & 3 anyway.
