I either want this or the rumored XPS17 Dell cooking up. XPS17 Would obviously be a better bang for buck but I'm in the apple ecosystem.

Pointing out that $2300 is a steep price for a laptop doesn't mean anyone's broke. It's a beautiful laptop, I'd grab it if I needed a new one, but my 2013 is still kicking (though I'll admit the 256GB SSD is annoyingly small).

Thats prolly cuz the 2013 uses scissor switches just like the new 16 inch pro, instead of the butterfly switches like the 2016-mid 2019 macbooks.

the keyboard was fine up to 2015. Apple fukked it up after that, now they goin back to what works.

Looks interesting. I'll hold off on any new apple purchases until Mid-next year. I am gonna be getting into photography so I may shell out to get a tuned up mac pro 13'. I was leaning the Air but it may not have as much storage or memory as the pro. I pay all cash so I'll upgrade that and my phone in 1 go. Might just put a hard cap of $4K for phone and laptop. See how much phone and laptop I can get for that price

@Lord Scarf What's your set up for pictures? What kind of laptop do you use. I'll be pulling the trigger for a camera this Christmas. Just wanted to know what specs I should be looking at.

With this 16 inch, dont be surprised if the 13 becomes 14 next year too. And they brought back the physical escape key and new thermals

If you editing photos the smaller pro should be enough. And if the integrated graphics aint enough you can plug in an eGPU if you dont want the size of the 16 for dedicated graphics.
