Not sure if anyone is is a Metric fan but Synthetica is solid but nowhere close to Fantasies though.

This is accurate. Seeing as Fantasies was nowhere really close to good, this is extremely problematic.

This was actually one of the songs I talked about them playing live about a month or so back. Here's what I thought of it then:

There's a couple of new songs The xx played live in London about a week ago on Pitchfork and YouTube. They're alright. It seems like I'm going to have to hear those tracks within the context of the album to properly assess them.

Nothing's really changed here. It's good, and definitely a little lighter than the nighttime vibe that the self-titled had, but apparently this is supposed to be influenced by the British club scene of the late 2000s-2010s, so I'm not quite sure where this fits in.

I'm fine with it though.
