data compiled by the think tank New America, there have been 15 special operation raids and 12 drone strikes in Somalia since 2003. In the the 13 years of operations, the combination of raids and drone strikes have killed approximately 150 militants. The entirety of the drone strikes have occurred during President Obama’s tenure, as his administration has sought to contain the growth of al-Shabab.

I admit that "150" folks all being terrorists and the only word about the situation being from the US government is worth some skepticism. However, until I hear from someone else that they killed x amount of civilians I'll reserve my judgment.

But 150 all ''militants'' sounds fishy

Kenyans routinely hit civilians with their crude airstrikes and claim they have killed x amount of Shabab.
