Halloween costumes are supposed to be fun. It’s a special time of year for kids to show off their favorite character or be silly. Most kids put a lot of thought into their costume and parents are left to decide what is appropriate and what is not. My son wanted to be Freddy Krueger this year, but I didn’t think he was old enough yet. Instead, he decided to be a scary hockey player. Both costumes are socially acceptable, but as a mom I stepped in and steered him towards something more age appropriate. That’s what a good parent does. Unfortunately for society some parents have no common sense and let their children dress in completely offensive costumes for Halloween. Jessica Black of Craigsville, Virginia is one of those parents. This gem of a mommy let her seven-year old son, Jackson, wear a KKK costume for the night.

The KKK costume is a family tradition.
When Jackson asked his mom if he could wear the KKK costume, she said yes. Of course, you can’t just go to Party City and find a white pointy hat and robe to wear, so she set about making her son his dream costume. WHSV News interviewed Jessica and she told them that she didn’t see anything wrong with her son’s costume. In fact, the costume is a family tradition. Her brother wore one when he was in Kindergarten and when he was thirteen years old. So, Jessica being a star mommy, decided to allow her son to carry on the hateful tradition. She claims that the KKK costume is okay because the Ku Klux Klan is a giving organization.

“It’s suppose to be white with white. Black with black. Man with woman and all of that. That’s what the KKK stands for. The KKK every year, raises money to donate to the St. Jude’s,” said Jessica Black.

Well then! They donate to St. Jude’s so that should surely make her son’s KKK costume totally fine! Oh no, no it actually doesn’t. You can erase years of hate and murder with a donation to a hospital. A charitable donation does not wash away all the blood spilled at the hands of the Klan.

Neighbor Wendi Sprouse saw Jackson in his KKK costume when he came to her door and was shocked.

“I just think it’s really sad that a kid is being taught that. That young, because they don’t know any better. You don’t hear that much about it.”

I would be shocked too. What do you do? Refuse to give the kid candy? Jackson said that he thought the costume was cool. I’m sure that at seven he doesn’t completely understand why a KKK costume would enrage people. So do you hold his parent’s behavior against him? I don’t know, I don’t know what I would have done. It is completely despicable that these parents thought it was okay to send their child around the neighborhood in a KKK costume. They are complete failures as parents.

Jessica told the news that she has been receiving death threats via Facebook over her son’s costume. I don’t condone that, but I think that everyone should tell her what kind of sh*tty parent she is.

Hate breeds hate. Kids are not born racists. They are taught to hate. The only family tradition she is carrying on is an ignorant, racist, disgusting tradition. The only thing that would have made it better is if she had given her son a rope or burning cross to carry around while in his KKK costume.

My son’s dream Freddy Krueger costume looks like a fairy princess compared to Jackson’s KKK costume. I suggest that Jessica follow my filthy liberal colleague’s Halloween costume guide next year. It should be pretty easy to figure out if the costume is totally racist with that guide. This year, she failed. She failed at costume selection and as a mother. Epically failed.

Anybody who buys into this post-racial America theory is ignorant and colorblind like a motherfukka....racism is not only present, but more aggressive then in the recent past

which is one of the reasons this forum needs to get rid of that race track nonsense. let us discuss race freely on any forum we'd like. it's here, in plain view, and it isn't going anywhere.

It's just a costume, tbh I really don't see the big deal.
