In another failure from around this time, we have Mark Jindrak. After another post-draft gutting of SD (surprise), they attempted to push Mark Jindrak. Before this, Jindrak was set to be the enforcer type dude for Evolution, and even filmed 1 or 2 vignettes for it. But they scrapped that idea and swapped him out for Batista (a fantastic decision obviously), and for a couple months, Mark Jindrak was paired with Garrison Cade on Raw and basically being the more boring updated version of WCW's High Voltage --- a power team that will beat jobbers here and there but never amount to much. He was then drafted to SD, and given Teddy Long as his manager. Long was not too long coming off the "White Boy Challenge" stuff (:mjlol::wow:) with Rodney Mack, Jazz, and Mark Henry. Pretty ironic to pair Long with a big white dude after being a manager that required having Rodney Mack beat up white dudes weekly.:russ: Anyway, Mark Jindrak basically got repackaged as an updated Lex Luger, complete with (eventually) an elaborate rob and a long mirror, thus him becoming "The Reflection of Perfection" Mark Jindrak. shyt was weak, and this was around the time where you really started to notice the piped in cheers/boos for taped shows.

Bless Teddy Long's heart for doing his best to make it work, but it just didn't happen. Soon enough, Teddy split from Jindrak and ended up becoming SD's general manager, turning face and becoming the beloved dude he was during his tenure. Jindrak literally had no notable feuds at all while they were together.

As far as the rest of Jindrak's WWE tenure, in only lasted a couple months more into 2005. The Reflection Of Perfection gimmick disappeared without a peep, and he was paired with Luther Reigns (Horseshu from WCW) as allies of Kurt Angle. Jindrak didn't do much at that point either. Mostly getting beat up by various heels (I mostly remember Big Show and Undertaker) and being a velocity staple.

Oh yea, he also got his ass whooped by Booker T for re-enforcing that whole "guttersluts" thing during the Kurt Angle serial stalker storyline

After that. Jindrak turned face by splitting from Luther Reigns, due to a handicap match loss vs Undertaker. Him and Luther had a match or two, which led to Jindrak developing some type of knockout artist mini-gimmick. So yea, before Kassius Ohno was doing the KO thing, Mark Jindrak was (:francis:)

After that, I'm not sure if Jindrak ever appeared on Smackdown again. I mostly remember him having loads of Velocity matches. This was his last WWE match in general.

And here we are, the end of Jindrak's career, which was basically 2 and a half years (maybe even less) of "meh". Even coming out of WCW in 00/01, I never really got the feeling Jindrak would do much. He had the size and look that Vince loves, and was very athletic, but nothing else really stood out about him. Jindrak had a lot of physical tools, but pretty much every person he was aligned with (both WCW and WWE) had more appeal than he did. Teaming him with Garrison Cade (RIP) did nothing for either guy, cause both were as bland as a sack of wet paper bags. And I can't say much about him on the mic, cause I rarely heard him. He's been very successful in Mexico (even currently), but he just didn't offer much in the states. Jindrak is 41 now, meaning from 00-05, he was 23-28, a complete canvas to work on, but never elevated himself in the US. Kinda weird:patrice:

it was probably a blessing in disguise for Jindrak :yeshrug:

he's had a lot of success in Mexico over the last 12 years.

Jindrak, 40, is champion of promotion CMLL in Mexico, where he's wrestled since 2006. As Italian character Marco Corleone, Jindrak has achieved more success there, both in and out of the ring, than he did in American promotions WCW and WWE.

Since his release from the latter and arrival in Mexico, Jindrak has not only won CMLL's top championship, he's leveraged his crossover appeal into TV roles and magazine covers. Still, after two decades of wrestling — and the aches and pains that have come with them — Jindrak is ready to retire to the area where his athletic career started.

Mark Jindrak was trying to be a rapper at one point. Whyte Chocolate who was the main girl in the tip drill video was friends with him, and she said he wanted to make an album about interracial relationships.:russ:

I don't remember him teaming with Teddy Long at all :pachaha:

I do remember him being with Kurt Angle. I always thought that they saw Orton and Batista were successful being in Evolution that they tried to do the same thing with Kurt having a stable that would use Jindrak (the pretty boy :dame:) and Luther Reigns (the muscle). Yeah, that didn't work :pachaha:
