I don't think it's Ad-Hominem when someone literally points out how you misquoted your citation in your own book. Dershowitz had to concede and say it might have been a typographical error. The point of contention was an important numerical figure, which Dershowitz misquoted and there were several other "errors", which Finklestein correctly pointed out.
