No, he was talking about your second sentence. We're talking about fake Slaimon here... of course he's that dumb.

The whole faith vs science thing is an argument that will never truly be resolved because on one hand science and math are absolutes but god if you believe in him defies impossibilities. So it's just a cycle that neither side can convince the other of the opposite.

in dealing with the bible and god why question it. water into wine raising the dead.. God created the earth and everything else so he can do whatever he wants. picking apart one story is stupid.

:belip:

exactly, so picking apart more and more of it as time goes by will eventually expose it as bullshyt.

scust at anyone whos arrogant enough to think that they know what god is/what he did just because they read a book. no human possesses that knowledge

any particular reason:mjpls:?

Simply because its a gravely distorted version of actual biblical accounts.

The main character known as "Gilgamesh" is actually a biblical character. His name being Nimrod as mentioned in the book of Genesis.

The ancient sumerian regard for creation along with its tale of the flood in question is similar to Biblical explanation because coincidentally ancient Sumeria was the first advent of civilization after the global flood.

Nimrod/Gilgamesh, the primary founder of the land, was actually the great-grandson of Noah

Genesis 9:18
The names of Noah's three sons were Shem, Ham, and Japheth

Genesis 10:6
The sons of Ham were: Cush, Mizraim, Put and Canaan.

Genesis 10:8
One of the descendants of Cush was Nimrod, who became the first of Kings. He was a mighty hunter and his name became proverbial. The heart of his empire included Babel, Erech, Accad and Calneh in the land of Shinar. (Mesopotamia)

As stated in the Bible; Nimrod was the direct descendant of Cush whom was a descendant of Ham whom was a direct descndant of Noah.

In other words, the tale is a exaggerated and gravely distorted version of actual biblical accounts that was probably orally passed down from generations until it found its way into sumarian religion/mythology.

This was also before the time when God called forth his choosen people, the jews, so the beginnings of the bible wasnt yet created. The first 5 books (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, etc) werent formally written until the rise of the prophet Moses during the reign of the Egyptian empire so that explains why the sumerian account of the flood predates the true biblical account
