Felt like ROH had a little momentum a few years ago but man shyts been rough in recent years :picard:

NXT had raided so much talent

The Bucks left them after ROH helped produce the PPV that spawned their new promotion, a promotion that only made ROH more irrelevant

The Marty Scurll paedo exposal

New Japan basically bushing them

And an overall weak product.

It might be a wrap.

Yikes kinda helps to explain their dojos output throughout the years though.

Their output has never produced a star and it’s been around for almost 20 years.
The only wrestler who built a name was Rhett Titus

E might need to put in that call to buy the tape library just off the strength of Bryan and AJ's inevitable HOF induction video packages getting some diversity. Only downside is, they'd then own some of the best work Joe ever did, right after he got free:picard:

Didn't they have access to the ROH library for Punk's DVD?

:huhldup:Yikes.
Writing looks like it's on the wall. Even Impact is viewed as higher tier than ROH again. COVID really ain't play. So many things ain't gonna survive it.

Just as a what-if... the Briscoes would hit AEW and be just fine if ROH folded, but as far as long-term ROH guys go... is there even a market for Jay Lethal anywhere with television? I'm sure he could show up on Impact and immediate hit their world title scene off the strength, but... no way AEW or WWE would consider signing him, I gotta assume?

I know there's a gang of dudes just desperate for PWG to get back so they can try and get anyone at all to care about them again

:camby:nikka stop

He's old, has a niche following and has heat with a good few people in both companies, especially after speaking out last year. I couldn't imagine any company volunteering to wade through any possible bad press to what, bring him in to wrestle Kushida as a piss-break match on Takeovers? Bring him in to do his Flair impression in MJF's general direction because AEW is literally just WCW now? I can't see either.
Feel free to name anywhere he'd be courted by; I'm down to be told otherwise - it was literally the point of my post.

At this point they need to just cash out to the highest bidder. Their library alone gotta be worth millions considering so many stars from both WWE and AEW had extensive careers there.

Marty on board was supposed to rejuvenate them and I 100% think that they would have been involved in all of this forbidden door stuff had he not gotten exposed because he's in The Elite and they'd want him on TV alongside his group members. I would say it's sad how it all unfolded for ROH.... but I stand with ACH
