A few Floors Down from the Daily Grind
[ame=http://soundcloud.com/lisbonic/081512-1]081512 1 by lisbonic on SoundCloud - Create, record and share your sounds for free[/ame]

I just moved and haven't set up all of my equipment yet.

In my normal headphones this sound like all my Ableton compressors have this sounding mixed right, but when I tossed one some ear buds, it sounded way off, and through the headphone out in my car it sounded better, but the bass seemed way too low and the melody and effects on the hook too low.

A few ears drums and thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks.

i cant hear any deep bass, the drums sound low and yeah you were right, some headphones make you think you created a masterpiece but you never know..

i was always told mixing in headphones isnt correct, you guys saying those one slisted above are good for mixing? i always thought some good monitors were the answer (NS 10's, etc) but if your sayin those do the job it might be a smarter investment as its all perception on what a good mix is anyway

The mix is "ok" the bottom is a little too light, not sure if it's the mix or the instrument. The drums are too soft but its all about what you want the overall feel of the track to be. When mixing you should try to listen to the track on everything you can, headphones, car radio, stereo, monitors, etc...

needs a little more on that bass.... and the kick, if it were me, i'd have some more low end on it... the snare sits well in the mix, but as others have said, it's so much down to personal taste. in a way it compliments the sample way.

i like it though, lemme spit on it breh.
