Ayo y dont i ever here bout dis nikka right here?? Son is da premier black supervillian,he's like a cross between a underwater darth vader/boba fett. Surely u would think dat as long as he's been around his status should be higher amongst villains across da dcu.i alwayz hear about guy's like dr.doom,lex luthor, or joker, but no manta.here u have a guy who killed an infant out of spite,shyt like dat should automatically bump u up a few notches on da villain foodchain.plus not 2 mention he's somewhat of a mastermind/serial killa with alien/advanced tech, can we show some respect 2 dis man. dont w8 4 a live action aquaman movie 2 show respect 2 the most underrated supervillain.

I have always liked Black Manta and consider his look to be one of the best in comics (even though his helmet gets clowned on the regular).
Plus he is one of the most successful villains when you factor in how many of them have actually been capable of truly doing damage to their main adversary. I think the only one who has been more successful is the Joker.

i thought i was da only 1, u right jello dat helmet/costume is iconic. i seen dat young justice cartoon blitzed up recently and i like they interpretation of his outfit, son was STR8 BOSS.all im sayin is dat he needs more exposure , not no overload type shyt,but definitely more airplay as probably the most prominent black supervillain. i wanna see him mash on batman and dem frailazz kids he hang wit. he needs 2 make a couple more examples of ppl outside of aquaman. by da way, any1 know how he got so powerful/resourceful??

he's the lead villain in the current arc of aquaman. nikka just running around murkin aq's old teammates and stealing their legendary weapons.

come to find out tho (just revealed) that his beef wit aquaman stems from arthur murking his pops.

how can u not respect a black man willing to murk EVERYTHING in revenge for losing his pops?

hasnt been fully explained yet. but as part of the new 52 reboot yup.

aquaman thought manta killed his father. turns out his father actually had a heart attack and died of natural causes. but before arthur knew the truth he decided he wanted revenge and killed black manta's daddy.

based on what's happening in aquaman right now, manta hasnt forgiven him.
