Years upon Years Upon Years ago, Before Drake, Before whatsapp and phones you could watch netflix on, before the social media blow-up...shyte before Facebook even, there were social gathering based websites like Black Planet, Asian Avenue etc.
The Toronto social scene had a unique site called TDOTWIRE. It was a message board and a dating/rating site all in one.This combination of course, was the perfect recipe for local fukkery.
I had signed up on the website when i was in grade 10, I had no money and no car at the time, so i was basically a dreamer at this point in time in high school. I would message a one-two girl here and there but i was having more success on the message board aspect of the site.
Like SOHH and TheColi there were resident 'cool guy' posters. Spinoza who went by 'Koven' was one of them.
Koven was a pretty consistent poster on TDOTWIRE, racking up a 6 figure post count as i recall. This nikka Koven would use the site like his personal diary and i was intrigued. Everyday there would be pictures accompanied with stories about his in reality exploits. I guess being a professional photographer helped. This guy was bagging the finest light skin girls off the site, banging them in his condo raw and then would post pics of the aftermath or pics of the girls in the most compromising of positions. this nikka looked like he was living the dream of all dreams.
In days of meagerness where only Nice Hondas and Nissans seemed attainable to a nikka, He would post pics of his bimmer (one of the nicest e46's at the time) in the auto section, resulting in extreme hate or jealousy or in extreme admiration/desire. I was always into the Germans over the Japs but a lot of my time on the wire i would say definitely lamented and solidified my passion for German Cars.
When i had finally turned 16. the legal driving age here, i started grinding and hustling and trying to better myself in anyway possible. By the time i had hit 20, I was finally living some type of 'lifestyle'. not as lavish as Spinoza but definitely decent. The postings of Spinoza and other various dudes planted a seed of determination in me that would forever drive me to make it to the top or at least rub shoulders with the elite.
Not to expose too much but in my later 20's i do alright
at times i do live like a bit of a degenerate but i feel it builds character.
Also, this was around the same time i met @Binary aka @thirdeye aka Patrice. She was on tdotwire as well as a few other Toronto websites and i would always bump into her. In actuality, i've probably known her for over 12+years.
Why did i take the time to type all this out? I dont know, I lost like 9k at the casino yesterday and feel dizzy
