They are gonna need a new gimmick or they are just gonna have to kill switch 1 so people are forced to upgrade

I don't give a fukk about Nintendo as a company after the death of Iowata, but I can honestly see them mulling over this question by breaking their longstanding history of backward compatibility trend of having the previous console's games being able to work on the current one.

Imagine how many switches were lost, rebought, and broken, it's a glorified handheld thats taking space as a console. Sorry not impressed :francis: nikkas wasn't running through ps2s, got a used one from the pawn shop 2002, and gave it to my kids in 2018 and worked like new.

it's gotta be a bad time to release new hardware, cause everything so expensive. 4 years into the PS2's life, it went from $300 to $150. these current gen consoles today are 4 years old and haven't budged. MS trying to sell a 2tb Series X for $600. shyt's crazy

Yeah i think that’s why both sony and nintendo have seemingly pushed their hardware plans back. I know the rumors say PS5 pro this year, but if the 2tb series x gotta be $600 then the Pro gone cost $700+

IDK it just doesn’t make sense to me right now.
