Best performances in ANY Zombie film hands down

I love Dawn of the dead and for many reasons its my favorite but the emotional performances Night of the living dead is head and shoulders above the rest IMO.

Candy man here surprised the hell out of me in this one too...

It sucks zombies are IN now thanks to the walking dead. So many crappy zombie films now popping up, Zombies are what Vampires used to be...

I actually don't remember this flick much, but just mentioning dawn of the dead makes me want to watch the remake again. Haven't seen it in a grip but always loved it.

I grew up on the 1990 Tom Savini remake and loved it. The movie was actually suppose to be a lot gorier than it turned out to be. MPAA were on some other shyt in the early 90s and they were forced to clean it up. Still turned out to be one of the best remakes ever. Barbara's character in the remake was a great change from the original. Tony Todd nailed the Ben character. I still enjoy the original 1968 flick, but the remake always has that warm place in my heart.

The acting in this film is what makes it and honestly when there's no gore that's all you got...this movie is a masterpiece imo. THE best executed zombie film. Not saying much considering the genre is a joke...

great movie

zombie movies were really the first genre to give black men some shine. im not a fan of "save a white woman" narrative but that meant heavy business back in the day. especially since it had black men basically bossing around all the white characters.

original night of the living dead had the GOAT twist ending tho

it wasnt better than the original in any way, but the shyt is ill.

just dont get the blu ray, they fukked the colors all up...and the workprint version is good to have cause they cut alot of gore out of this shyt.

I like the OGs better, but the remakes are not that bad either. The ending of the OG was :mindblown:. It used to make the kids in the 60's sleepless at night.
