The NFL jersey purchased the most by females this year belongs to Colts' QB Andrew Luck, despite the fact that three other players, all quarterbacks, have the top-selling jersey in four different states: Russell Wilson (WA, NM, NV, ID), Tom Brady (MA, NH, RI, WY), and Drew Brees (AL, LA, MS, VT).
Some other interesting tidbits:
- Men like Johnny Manziel's jersey more than women do. Manziel is ranked No. 2 on the list of jerseys purchased by men, but just No. 13 on the list of jerseys purchased by women.
- More women's jerseys were sold in Washington than any other state.
- Cam Newton doesn't have the top jersey as purchased by women in any state, but that doesn't mean he's not wanted. Newton finished as the No. 2 jersey sold in four different locations (AL, DC, NC, and SC).
- Offense rules. Pittsburgh safety Troy Polamalu and Carolina linebacker Luke Kuechly are the only defensive players whose jerseys were the top draw in a specific state.
