  1. $173,000 average yearly salary

Future NFL Referee Pay. Based on the new contract between the NFL and the NFLRA signed in September 2012, NFL referees will earn an average of $173,000 in 2013, and move up to an average of $205,000 by 2019.

Pound for pound easily the GOAT job to have :banderas:

What other job out there can you work for such short hours doing such a fun thing, and make up to 200,000 a year doing it.

These n!ggas work what, 2 hours per week? :mjlol:
It's fun as hell, the shifts are all short, you get to travel, :banderas:
And you don't do sh!t but referee a professional football GAME :heh:
This has to be the easiest legal way to earn $200,000 a year brehs :ahh:

Nah. Imagine being yelled at and bood by everyone at your job other than 2 or 3 other dudes also getting yelled and bood by everyone.

And there's like 80,000-120,000 people there.

Referees are never loved, or even viewed in any sort of positive light. Ever. They get nothing but shyt. Too much pressure and sometimes deserved, sometimes undeserved irrational hatred spewed at you.

One miscall or non call and get death threats. :damn:

I'd rather be a nondescript congressman. Do nothing, get reelected. Vested in pension after 5 years.

If you think all they do is ref 2 hours per week like you keep saying you already lost.

:comeon:

Whatever other else "mysteriously difficult labor" that you're imagining they must endure outside of refereeing for 2 hours a week(for only 16 weeks PER YEAR :dead:) is still WELL worth 200K a year.
Be an idiot and think otherwise just for the sake of being a contrarian, brehs :snoop:

I mean what are you talking about, practice? You really going to try to bring up practice? This dude talking about practice :snoop:
There is no other job whose labor to salary ratio is this lopsided. No matter how much they may have to "practice". It's the GOAT job :blessed:

NBA refs make more but they also work 4 times a week and travel constantly:ehh:

Exxxxxxactly. While they may make more money, look how long a friggin NBA season is :heh: and the amount of travel is preposterous. :scust:
Then there's the physical side. An NBA ref is up and down an NBA court far more times than an NFL ref has to sprint up and down the field :heh:
Them NBA refs burn waaaay more calories per game than an NFL ref does per game.

That's what makes the NFL gig the better gig. Doesn't pay more, but from a total perspective, with all things considered, it's the biggest paying job for the tiny amount of work that you do, for the amount of time that you do it.

Now, none of this is in any sort of attempt to "put down" being an NBA ref, I'm just saying that it's not a better/gravier gig than being an NFL ref.
