they were reviewing every touchdown last year also

I'm not sure they do it if it's consensus TD on all parts

no it's not a good thing when they stop and go under the booth to review obvious ass calls. a player gets a standing int they gotta review it, obvious fumble gotta review it.

Is that what they're doing? Did you watch the NFL last year? :beli:

On obvious TDs there was at most a few second delay as the ref upstairs gave the go ahead.

does it need to happen tho? it bothered me last year too. more times than not (by a longshot) it's obvious. maybe once a game a TD is questionable. but it's not bad to the point where they need to review every one of them. if it was some dispute then that's what coaches have challenge flags for.

the more breaks, the more commercials, the more money. the rule is an excuse to make money off commercials

And this is an silly conspiracy theory, too.

First, turnover = automatic commercial break.

Second, the league still wants games to be ~3 hours. It will only have a marginal affect on the length of the game.

And does the NFL even make money (directly) from commercials? Or do they just get the Billions from TV networks up front who make back that payment through ad revenue? :usure:

Dog, obvious turnovers would get verified during the standard commercial break. It would have no effect on the game (at least with an obvious TD, it held up the extra point....we wouldn't even notice the obvious turnover review, other than the announcer confirming us that it was reviewed and upheld after the break).

If there's a questionable play, why would you be against making an effort getting the call right?

if tv stations know they gon get more commercials they can charge more and the nfl can charge the stations more. theory still in tact :troll:

bruh i've watched games this preseason where they just sat there on camera waiting for the official to state some obvious shyt. it's not about not getting the call right it's about killing the dead time. if it was really that big of a deal they could give the coaches an extra challenge. that's why coaches got the flags gotta be smart how you use them

as i typed that the jags obviously scored a TD that no one had any issues with and they go under the booth for automatic review and to a commercial break. all before an extra point. then they'll kick an extra point and go to another commercial. you can get down with that?

Start watching the games 90 minutes in, have it DVR'ed, skip commercials only watch the football, you'll catch up in the middle of the 3rd quarter.
