Streameast often gives a glimpse into what other announcer teams say during the course of games. I simply ain’t used to the homerish shyt these other cities have calling all their games week after week. It’s particularly stark with baseball and basketball. I grew up :mjlol: at the way Walt Frazier would shyt on Patrick Ewing or wack ass Michael Kay lay into Yankees players. The Mets announcers don’t hold back ripping into their squads and applauding other team’s players. But the Calvin Murphy-esque homerism from out of town tandems :scust:

Yeah New Yorkers are really known for being humble about their own city... :comeon:

I know what you mean with the Knick annnouncers team though. They're great.
New York announcers are the least homerish announcers in sports. Put your baggage aside about how you feel of its people.

Listening to these other announcing teams with their pom-poms for their players is weird to me and just annoying

Very true. NY announcers actually CARE about the game first, and everything else last. Listening to Clyde slice the Knicks up over the years is hilarious. “Starks with the ball…THERES AN OPEN SHOT…he throws the ball away with an errant pass! I don’t know what he was thinking, I’m dumbfounded….Let’s look at the replay…Starks is standing there with the ball looking dubious like a deer in the headlights, with the posture of a neophyte, he’s probably hesitant to shoot due to his hideous FG% in the last 3 games, and probably shell shocked from his 2-18 performance in game 7 of last year’s finals”

Clyde: **two seconds left in the game. Knicks down by two**

“ Patrick Ewing on the line, but as we all know, in these crucial moments he has the propensity to miss in the clutch!”
**clanks free throw**

I swear I think Clyde looked at the Knicks with :scust:disgust because he’s a champion and they always came up short.

“exasperated Keith Hernandez” was my favorite. The way he would tear into the Mets with abject disgust :russ:

Then he would compare with the other teams doing right as shyt on his team. :mjlol:
I really think it’s because like Clyde, he won a chip and seen them new niqqas as lesser players. Keith was overboard though :pachaha:

can't stand biased announcers. It's a problem with the NBA especially. I can't speak on NY cuz I don't watch their games, but Bill and Stu do a great job for the Lakers, and will tell it like it is
Stu Lantz ALWAYS kept it 100. He would openly question Kobe’s shot selection at times. Stu is one of my all/time favorites.
