My dude, exchanging one bullshyt mentality for another is not progress. While I'll never let cacs off the hook for not acknowledging what was done to my people in the past, I do understand that not ALL white folks are bigots. There were actually a lot of white folks that helped with the underground railroad, fought against slavery, and marched with MLK. In modern times, no cac wants to be considered a racist, so they're conscious about not employing outwardly racist tactics (subtle racist shyt is the norm tho). And let's be honest: most racist white folks are just ignorant as fukk. They think steps to ensure equality is actually reverse racism. They refuse to acknowledge the racist institutions that keep minorities down, and they think their success is solely based off "hard work". They can't comprehend why black people hit them with the when they say ignorant shyt.

On the other hand, Latin America is arguably the most divisive spot on earth. Everything is broken down by nationality, ethnicity, socio-economic class, religion etc. Being black or indegenous is the bottom of the barrel down there and those people are treated as such. How the hell can you be a black American and welcome hoardes of people that have a Jim Crow mentality bruh?? I honestly don't care what ethnicity has the largest numbers as long as they can get past their petty bullshyt and pull the country together. Its not any particular group of people I worry about, its the mindset of the people. There's already a lot of Mexicans vs. [insert random ethnic group] down here because they view everything as an ethnic competition. That shyt ain't good for the progress of the counrtry. Bruhs gotta be careful with that "anything to get back at the white man" mentality because some shyt could actually be more harmful to blacks.


Sidenote: I'm speaking in broad categorizations of people for the purpose of efficiency. I know not all people of a group are racist, but there's a large enough segment that it's noticeable.

BUT, here's the thing, they've been on top for too long....and will continue to be for awhile. BUT many of them REALLY believe god put them on top and that they are the superior race. Even if they dont want to believe it, you cant help but feel somewhat superior when ur race is all over TV, CEO'ing, the standard of beauty in movies, magazine, etc. In some ways that's only human nature. Obama won president and it shook alot of their minds up and they can't handle it. These are the ones who really believe they were created better.

I believe the Universe will balance itself out eventually. I may not be around to see it, but it's starting.

And yes, some Mexicans are very prideful of their race. But they're still behind whites financially, and Mexicans will/do date outside of their race. So the races going forward will be more mixed. To be honest that's the only way racism will ever decline.

nope, the study clearly says blacks are growing at a faster rate than whites, too. it's not just hispanics.

I get what ur saying about Latin america as in Brazilians and others see themselves as "white". But we're mainly talking about Hispanics from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salv, etc being the Latin groups moving here.

I definitely agree with it being better if it was all mixed immigration. But in a way it is, but mainly only in places like LA, NY, Miami.

What's funny is, being in Texas, I watched all this happen oer the years. The rich white ppl brought Mexicans over here for cheap labor/construction in the South. Once they're here, it's cool for a while, but then they send money back to Mexico until their family can come here...then they come over. Now they're all like over here driving Escalades and buying big houses with several ppl in it, getting free healthcare, and their kids free lunch at school, and the rich white ppl who brought them over are still , but it's the common white ppl that are looking & having to deal with the immigration "problem".

I watched my high school/home town go from being majority white, to in just several years now being majority hispanic. It's really crazy. Ppl like Bush sold out his "fellow Americans" under the table, and then wanna, publicly, act like he's gonna do something about it.

LOL, I'm from Houston born and raised. This is pretty much the story and as you said rich whites in Texas are still just look at Austin, suburbs of Houston and Dallas. You would swear that whites have benefited the most from immigration because it hasn't hurt their pockets. Now for the poor white trash are the ones who are really upset because they compete for blue collar jobs with latinos.

On the real though, a lot of Latinos are on some discrimination tip with black people when they severely outnumber us , but it seems that about one-quarter of latinas in H-town got a kid by a black man, so there is a lot of mixing going on between us.
